It all started in our home as a little project I started for myself. As a makeup lover, I felt that something was missing from the makeup industry. You see, I looove glitter but I hated making a mess, and other gel-based products would fall apart by the end of the day or cause sensory issues. I dreamed up the start of what would become a glitter empire. After a lot of research and trial-and-error, I was able to perfect our budge-proof formula. Slayfire Cosmetics officially launched in 2018 with a mission of creating user-friendly and sensory issue-friendly products that actually worked. As Slayfire grew, my mother, father, and sister joined in and we became a family-operated business. We can't wait to show you what's next!
Meet Sarah Rose
Hi there! My name is Sarah Rose and I'm the founder and CEO of Slayfire Cosmetics. From a young age I've always dreamed of having my own unique brand that would be all-inclusive and boundary-breaking. I've always been a crafty person, and with the encouragement of family and friends, I started my first small business when I was 13 years old making plushies, jewelry, and clay sculptures. I later worked on commissioned costumes and wigs, and it was during this time that I discovered my love and passion for makeup.
Using my first-hand experience of what running a business was like, I launched Slayfire Cosmetics when I was 18 years old. I'm now 23 and as a queer, indigenous woman of color, making sure my brand connects with my community has always been important to me. Slayfire is more than just a brand; it's a family and community, and I'm so proud to have created a safe and creative outlet for everyone to express themselves through. None of this would be possible without the support from my family and community. Thank you so much for believing in our brand and being on this journey with us!
